The farmhouse has been beautifully renovated, and the setting is wonderfully peaceful. It’s a fantastic place for a party, with everything needed to host one. You’ll just need to arrange a caterer, unless you plan to cook yourselves.

I’d planned my vacation around this place after booking a year ahead. Then, two months before check-in, the host sent a blunt message saying she was canceling my reservation on her own because she had rescheduled a wedding for those dates. There wasn’t even an apology. I told her how upset I was and got only a message saying I’d be refunded. She offered other dates, but that wasn’t what I’d arranged my vacation for. After all that time, I was suddenly told I couldn’t come because there was a wedding. A party must obviously be more profitable. They don’t seem empathetic, customer-focused, or trustworthy. Stay away.

This place is rented for daytime family gatherings, with closing no later than 9 PM. That condition is on the website and is agreed before a booking, and it’s one of the key requirements for making the venue available. It’s a great spot for children to enjoy nature when your own home is too small and you want a larger private space. Drinks can be bought through the venue, and there’s plenty if you let me know what’s needed. I’m available throughout the day to sort out anything that isn’t sufficient or in order, so the gathering can go smoothly. It’s a shame the closing time was overlooked and the visit wasn’t a pleasant one. The 2024 rating of 1/5 needs that explanation. Anja (owner Art of Einstein)
