RUDE AND RACIST: DO NOT STAY HERE I had paid in advance for a Double Deluxe Room for 24-27 Sept through Booking.com, and the payment was confirmed. When I arrived, the receptionist, who said he was the owner, was rude from the beginning. He wrongly claimed I hadn't paid, tried to charge me again, and even demanded to see my private card transactions. The first room was dirty and clearly had been used. After I complained, he tried to move me to a cheaper twin room. He wouldn't show me a price list and kept saying he “knew the prices from memory.” He was hostile and unprofessional the whole time. The most disturbing thing was his comment that he was only giving me a room because my partner is white and British. My partner and I both felt this was blatant racial discrimination. The behaviour and unsafe atmosphere were unacceptable, so I had to leave and book elsewhere. I asked Booking.com for a refund, and they tried to imply I was cancelling so I could stay with family. In the end, I booked with BnB Monroe for the same dates through booking.com. DO NOT BOOK HERE

Rooms weren't clean, and there was a smell from the pipes in the room. Breakfast was OK, but it depended on who was working. The man who answered the phone was really arrogant and impolite, and wouldn't send an invoice. I don't recommend this hotel.

I came across this place because it was near where I needed to get a good night's sleep. The price was reasonable, and the staff were absolutely amazing. We got there around 3pm and I was exhausted. Just a few minutes after we got to our room, they knocked and brought us sandwiches and fresh orange juice. It's a quiet hotel, really close to the motorway. I'd definitely recommend it!

It looks great from outside, but inside it could use some work. The doors are old and worn, and shower water runs onto the bathroom floor. The hotel needs better upkeep. The man who answered when I called on arrival wasn't very friendly, just said what he had to and nothing more. Breakfast was OK, nothing special. Fine for one night, but I wouldn't stay longer.
