We made an online reservation for Wednesday dinner just in case, though it turned out not to be necessary. The setting is lovely, close to nature, and the view made the bitterballen even nicer. They were perfectly fried and came with a sauce. We started with a mojito and a lazy red cheeks. Both cocktails were delicious and arrived quickly the first time. When we ordered them again, there was quite a wait, and we had to repeat the order because we thought it had been forgotten. Still, I highly recommend them. For mains, I had stovless and frietjes, while my boyfriend chose ribs with croquettes. The meat in my dish was very tender and the sauce was delicious. I didn't care for the salad, mostly because I'm not really a salad person, and we both felt it wasn't very fresh. My boyfriend liked the ribs and thought the barbecue sauce tasted homemade, not like a standard supermarket version. He wasn't keen on the pepper sauce, as it was a bit too spicy for him and unlike sauces we've had elsewhere. That's just his personal opinion. The food and cocktails were tasty, the staff were super friendly, and the location is awesome. We recommend it for a special dinner. It's a little pricey, but worth it.
