Hotel des Comtes Durbuy

The hotel is right in the city centre, just over the river, and it’s beautiful and cosy. It’s been renovated in a modern, luxurious style. It runs on a self-catering, self-service basis. You get one code to enter the hotel and another for your room key. If you want a drink, write your order on the list and pay at breakfast.

Breakfast was simple, good, and filling, and the staff were friendly. There’s a garden with a playground, and it’s only a few minutes’ walk to the centre. The old building by the river is gorgeous. Our room, #6, and the bathroom were pretty and sleekly decorated. A baby cot is available for a fee. The one downside for me was the bath setup: to shower, I had to sit in the bath and hold the shower head, since it couldn’t be hung up and there was no curtain.

We had a lovely weekend, and I’d recommend it to friends and family too. The terrace bar has a scenic view over the river, and the location is excellent. Free parking was especially handy on busy days. The beds were comfortable, and the ladies on staff were very friendly. Thanks for the warm welcome and hospitality. The only thing I’d improve is adding a shower curtain.

There’s a nice view and good atmosphere, and the rooms are clean and pleasant. Check-in was super easy with the self-check-in system. The rooms come with a hair dryer, towels, hand gel, shower gel, a fan, and other basics. Parking is included and reserved per room, and all the restaurants in Durbuy are within walking distance. Breakfast was very good, with good service. The staff were really friendly, kind, and helpful. There’s also a little self-service bar.
