Getting in and out was easy thanks to the key box, and the location is convenient, 6km from Durbuy by back roads. Outside there’s a barbecue area and a table under a tree. The rental has just been fully renovated for 2 to 4 people, with a comfortable bedroom, a children’s area with bunk beds, a kitchenette, a dining area, and a lovely bathroom.

We were delighted when we stayed here for two nights a few years ago, so this visit was a huge disappointment. I rarely write negative reviews, but the hygiene was appalling. The jacuzzi water was cloudy, with grime on the bottom and a terrible smell. There were crumbs on the table and dirt on the floor, and the dishes and kitchen weren’t spotless. The sheets had blood stains and smelled of tobacco, as did the towels. The massage table was there but didn’t work, and neither the Wi-Fi nor the TV worked. The location is ideal, but the place needs a complete overhaul.

For a rental like this, I expect a high level of hygiene. The jacuzzi was dirty, the massage table didn’t work, the TV wasn’t connected, and there was no Wi-Fi. The bath towels smelled like old clothes, too. I’ve stayed in several lofts and never had this happen. We left straight away without staying for the evening or the night.

Durbuy is close by, and the location is quiet. The room and sitting area were very nice, but there were several problems. The kitchenette didn’t even have a sink for washing dishes, and the only hot water was in the shower. The sauna didn’t work, it was just an aromatherapy room with a diffuser like the ones everyone has at home. The jacuzzi was worn out, with very few jets, and the water was only so-so, although the temperature was ideal. You couldn’t switch off the lights in the jacuzzi room. The tenant upstairs was also noisy and inconsiderate, especially after 6 pm and through the night. It’s a shame, since a few small repairs and a good refresh could make the place perfect.
