Villa Saint Amour

We booked through Belvilla because we have two dogs, but the house felt like a wreck. The beds were so hard my back and pelvis gave out after a few days. It was filthy, with shabby mismatched furniture and a sofa worn down to the wood. The dishwasher and microwave didn't work, there was no dryer, and the heating sounded like a plane flying overhead. The upstairs bathroom was awful, with a shower that sprayed everywhere. We tried calling on Sunday and got no answer. We called again Monday, still nothing. On Tuesday we went to reception; they noted everything and said they'd contact the owner. I also tried Belvilla's chat, but it was a different department and couldn't help. After several attempts, they finally gave me an emergency number. We waited and waited, then were told someone might come by Thursday, or Friday at the latest. We had to leave by 10 on Friday. Thank goodness we'd only booked one week. Never again, Belvilla or Villa Amour! 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

The villa was beautiful, tidy, and had almost everything we needed. There's a lovely enclosed garden around it, and the central location made it easy to get to all parts of the Ardennes.

The location is beautiful, but the house itself isn't comfortable enough. It's badly in need of renovation.

A lovely, peaceful location, but a number of things need replacing. The TV is ancient, there's no internet, and the garden parasol is broken, among other issues.
