Aparthotel Acacia

The bathroom was clean and newly done, with a really good large shower. Getting in with the code sent by email beforehand was easy and worked without a hitch, so it’s a convenient choice for a night or two. The room had everything needed, but the odd smell in it was unbearable for me. The towels felt a bit flimsy, shed fabric, and there wasn’t anywhere to hang them.

The way our complaint was handled was very unprofessional and disappointing. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but the Superior room we booked with a kitchen was supposed to have air conditioning, as shown in the photos. It was 30 degrees outside and the room was hot, especially when we cooked. There was a controller and what looked like preparation for AC on the wall, but no actual unit, so we couldn’t stay there. We asked to cancel and said we’d pay for the one night we’d stayed. The woman told us they would charge for two nights and said it wasn’t their fault. The room seemed unfinished but was already being rented: it had no door handle, no coffee machine, a broken socket in the shower, and no air conditioning. Anyone can make a mistake, but this was a letdown.

Really great.

The building and our room felt brand new, and the room itself was fantastic. Check-in was automated and went very smoothly. We stayed for three days and had breakfast at the neighboring Hotel Shamon, which has the same owners. We were happy with that too, and would definitely come back.
