Such an amazing place.

The shared kitchen had everything we needed, and the little sunny living room came with a mini-fridge of complimentary drinks. We had a spacious place with a big bathroom, five towels per person, comfortable bedding, a bedroom facing the river, and another room with a dressing room. From the street, you wouldn't expect the house behind the facade to look almost like a castle. The magnificent ceiling gives it away once you look up. There were a couple of small plumbing problems: the showerhead was clogged with limescale and sprayed water everywhere, though there was a separate shower too, and the sink wouldn't drain. Still, those felt minor in such a high-quality place.

The room was quiet, warm, clean and cosy, with free Wi-Fi that worked well. The hostess was welcoming, and the river views from the windows were wonderful. The castle-style hotel was easy to find and close to the centre. There was plenty of room, a king-size bed and a sofa, with the option to add extra beds if needed. The bedding was new, and there were lots of towels and toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The bathroom had two sinks, a bath, a shower and a window. Everything felt ready for us. The separate, spacious kitchen had a large table, fridge, coffee machine, washing machine and dryer, plus detergent and conditioner, an iron and a washboard. They'd also provided sunflower and olive oil, lots of spices, and a decent range of dishes and glasses, including wine, beer and shot glasses. The complimentary minibar had Coca-Cola, beer and two bottles of fresh drinking water. You can book without worrying about a thing.
