The room was huge, much bigger than I expected for the twin I booked. It had complimentary coffee, tea and water, two sets of towels, and a bathroom with the essentials. The view wasn’t much, but the AC handled both heating and cooling, even in winter. Breakfast is an open buffet with a decent selection of basics. Check-in was quick and smooth, and the staff were lovely. There’s an elevator, though it’s slow and cramped, and the floor hallways are very narrow. There are 6 private parking slots, available for an extra charge. Reserve ahead, as the entrance is tight and right next to the hotel entrance. Each space has an AC charger for EVs. The location is lovely and close to the central station. I highly recommend it for a business stay.

We were traveling with a young toddler, and the staff made us feel very welcome. They were friendly and helpful, and we were glad to be able to park the car there and walk instead of driving into the city Center. We hadn’t planned to eat breakfast at Carlton Hotel, but we were happy we changed our minds. There wasn’t a huge selection, but the quality was outstanding. The food was freshly cooked for us and very tasty, nothing like the eggs at big hotels. We had a weekend in Gent and were super satisfied. We’d definitely stay again and recommend the place.

We struggled to rest because of the constant elevator noise right beside our room. The room was spacious, but plain, with very little decor and furnishings that felt dated. In the cold weather, the broken bathroom heater made things uncomfortable. Shower pressure was low too, and the toilet and sink fittings could use maintenance. The beds were very comfortable, and the staff at the Carlton Hotel were friendly and helpful. Those were the good parts of the stay, but the room needs updates and repairs to match the price and the otherwise welcoming feel of the hotel.

The room was bright, airy, air conditioned and very clean, with excellent decor. It also had tea and coffee facilities and a minibar, with drinks charged extra. The receptionist was welcoming and took time to mark the attractions on a map, which helped a lot. I’d highly recommend staying here, especially if you’re arriving or leaving by train.

The staff were really lovely, and the museums were easy to reach. The room was fine, though the pillows felt odd and weren’t very comfortable.
