We visited in winter and would happily return in summer. The room was clean, comfortable, and well arranged, with a terrace and a beautiful view that we really enjoyed. Parking was free and right there, which made things convenient, and breakfast was good. The hotel and restaurant staff were kind, professional, and welcoming. One small drawback was the double bed, which was made of two singles pushed together, leaving an uncomfortable gap in the middle. It didn't spoil our stay, though. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend the place.

A lovely spot for a weekend break, and very dog friendly, which is a big plus. The room cleaning could be better and the bar's coffee machine could use an upgrade, but I'd still recommend staying here. We had a unique and memorable visit.
Les Sorbiers was so peaceful and restful, with a charming castle and lovely surroundings. We stayed cozy enough to have breakfast there every day, even though it was quite simple: baguette, croissant, muesli, two or three cheeses, and hot eggs and bacon. Our room was nicely decorated, with a great view from the windows, a comfortable bed, and a good shower. You have to ask at the bar for water. Dinner looked beautifully presented and tasted good, though it could have used more flavor. Staff were friendly, and speaking French would make things easier for them.
We booked this beautiful property weeks ahead as a stop while traveling from France back to Belgium. We're visiting from the States, and after the journey I wanted to stay one more night and relax. When my husband asked, we were told no rooms were available. We understood and booked somewhere else, but then saw online that the very same room had opened up for the night we had requested. We were left wondering whether that was because we were American or foreign guests. We're quiet and were happy to spend money there. The building looks beautiful from outside, and the basic rooms were accommodating and fairly clean. Parking was convenient compared with other hotels nearby, and the scenery was pleasant, but breakfast was extremely minimal. A large group had an event during our stay and seemed to take over much of the bar. Staff were moderately polite, though not especially warm. There aren't many nearby restaurants open in the evening. We hadn't booked dinner, and when we asked, we were told it was already full, presumably because of the group. That seemed odd since we were hotel guests too. We got a list of restaurants, but they were all closed. We felt as if we were intruding on a private event.
We only stopped at Les Sorbiers because of a technical problem on our drive to Germany, but it turned out to be the best unplanned stop. The chateau is magical and full of charming details, tucked into a wonderfully romantic valley. There's something for everyone. We arrived late after the kitchen had closed, but the lovely manager surprised my son with a fantastic snack and dessert. Our comfortable room had a beautiful view of the pond. We charged our car overnight and continued our journey the next morning. We'll keep Les Sorbiers in mind for our next trip.
