Gîte Le Charme du Passé

We’ve stayed in this house every year for the past few years, and although we’d almost like to keep it to ourselves, it’s only fair to share how much we enjoy it. For us, it’s the place in the Ardennes that ticks all the boxes. It’s in the quiet, rural village of Havelange, with basic shops nearby and bigger ones a short drive away. It makes a good base for exploring the Belgian Ardennes, with Namur, Dinant, Durbuy and La Roche among the places to visit. The owner has always been friendly, responsive and helpful, sharing local tips and quickly sorting things out when needed. You’ll find everything for a comfortable stay: good beds, kitchen appliances, reliable internet, a kids’ playroom, and a washing machine and dryer. There’s also a large enclosed garden with lounge chairs and play equipment for little ones. We never find ourselves wanting for anything. Till next year!

The magnificent garden will delight young and old alike, and Jacqueline is a charming lady. The house is very clean. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves nature.

A charming cottage that’s fully equipped and in a great location. It was perfect for a family vacation.

Our three boys had lots of fun with the games, and there’s plenty to do within a 30-minute drive. The garden is beautiful, with a lovely terrace, and the house is tidy, well equipped and warmly decorated. We had a wonderful week here with our family, starting with a welcoming reception.
