Hotel Carpinus

The staff made a real impression, always making an effort to help us feel comfortable and valued. Meals were a highlight too, with consistently great food and attentive service at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant's cooking was a treat, and they make the best Sushi 🍱.

The room and bed were fine and clean, and I slept well. I could hear the neighbors a little when they spoke loudly. The location is in a nice, clean suburb, though around 5km from the station, a bit farther than described. The receptionists acted a little strangely at times, but got the job done in the end. A good choice if you want to save some money.

The restaurant was a real highlight for me. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the wine selection was impeccable. I looked forward to every meal, and the dining area was charming. My room was well appointed, and the hotel's tasteful decor gave it a cozy, welcoming feel. From the moment I arrived, the warm staff made me feel at home. They were quick to answer questions or take care of anything I needed, and happily suggested ways to explore Leuven. Their service helped make the stay comfortable and memorable. Carpinas Hotel is a hidden gem in Leuven, Belgium. I felt treated like family and would happily return to enjoy the hospitality again.

The room was modern and surprisingly spacious, with the feel of something from a larger, higher-end chain. We had booked to avoid driving home after a party and hadn't expected much, so that was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is on Herent's central square, with plenty of parking. One drawback is the church bells, which start at 7am and ring every 30 minutes. Earplugs may help if you're hoping to sleep late. We didn't try the restaurant, though it seems known for its sushi. Breakfast is served there too. The buffet is simple, but most things are available for a decent start to the day.
