Globales Post Hotel & Wellness

The breakfast on our inbound trip was a mess, with three coaches of people arriving at once. We skipped breakfast on the way back, though I heard it was better managed then. The room itself was roomy, with a large double bed, TV, tea and coffee, a fridge, and wardrobe space. There was a hairdryer and basic lotion in the bathroom. The shower is over the bath, which could be awkward for older guests. One other annoyance, the saucers were dusty, so we had to wash them before making coffee.

The food was great, but the two staff members had to cover both the bar and food service. When the restaurant got busy they were rushed off their feet. Nice place, though the rooms could use a bit of updating.

The bathroom was dirty, with broken tiles, black mold, and toilet paper left on the floor because there was no holder. The room was dusty on every ledge and shelf, and the place looked grubby and poorly maintained from the moment we arrived. After a five-hour drive from Disney, we got there at 21:00 and quickly felt something was off. The lift was old and rattly, and the corridor was unclean. The room doors seemed to have been replaced recently, which initially reassured me, but later made me wonder if there had been a security issue. The bed looked fairly new and was clean when we checked it for infestation, but we were horrified by the rest of the room. It was so late that we couldn't find another hotel nearby, so we slept on top of the bed in our clothes.

After a long day driving, we needed a quiet night's sleep, but these rooms are very noisy. You can hear the people next door showering and flushing the toilet.
