The hosts were incredibly helpful, and the location is great. The room has self-catering facilities if you need them. Breakfast was a whole table of food, including homemade bread and freshly squeezed orange juice. Ideal for a couple of solo travelers.

Het Kolibriehuys makes a great base for seeing Ypres and other famous Great War (WWI) sites. We have ties to the area, partly through our Canadian family. Nature lovers, hikers, and cyclists should enjoy it too: it’s in the Heuvelland region near routes used in the famous spring classics. The hosts are very friendly, and the room is lovely with good amenities.

The beds are comfortable, and breakfast is really tasty and generous. The staff are very friendly, and the price isn’t that expensive. A great place, definitely recommended. Go for it.

Can you give more than five out of five? What a welcome from the super sweet hostess and gentleman. Once you’ve found this place, you’ll definitely come back.

A very hospitable couple, always good for a pleasant chat. This is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed.
