Gîte La Marquisette

The garden is beautiful, and the cottage worked really well for our large group, with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms for families with young children. It’s simple, practical, and welcoming. Just keep in mind that a busy road runs right in front.

The garden is magnificent, with games for all tastes, and there are lovely walks nearby. There’s an accessible room on the ground floor. The owners are very welcoming and attentive. If you’re bringing children, keep the front door locked, as cars don’t slow down in front of the house.

We spent a weekend at La Marquisette with friends, and the company was great, but the house was dirty and run-down, with a musty smell and an inadequate kitchen. I don’t think it should still be rented out. The price for what you get is disgraceful. Were there cameras in several rooms? I wouldn’t recommend the house to anyone. It was the weekend of 18/10/2024, and we also can’t understand why the other reviews are so positive. I’ve rented houses in the Ardennes for over 30 years, so I know what the standard is in 2024. As for the cameras, I’m certain I was told about them during the tour you gave. Kind regards, Alex

The owner was welcoming and flexible, and stayed available for our questions. When we accidentally left a computer behind, he did everything he could to mail it back to us quickly. We had a great weekend with friends. The house was spotless, with spacious common and dining areas, and was very well equipped, especially the kitchen. We cooked an incredible dinner there.
