Bell Expo

I was told less than two weeks before arriving that the hotel could no longer host me, and was asked to cancel my own reservation. The only option they offered was a sister hotel over 5 km away. Once I turned that down, they showed no further willingness to help.

Quiet and nice.

The building is beautiful, and the room and bathroom were nice, though the cleanliness was only okay rather than spotless. There was a cigarette smell in the room despite smoking not being allowed. Parking was frustrating too: the driveway was supposed to be available, but we couldn't get in or out, leaving paid street parking as the alternative. Paid parking itself is fine, but advertising driveway access when you can't use it wasn't nice. We probably wouldn't return, which is a shame given how lovely the building is.

The beds were very comfortable, and the room had plenty of space and a big rain shower. Breakfast offered a good variety. The breakfast room felt a bit cramped, though, and conversation was difficult because nearby guests could hear everything. A view outside would make the space feel more open too.
