The room was otherwise quiet and very comfortable, and the breakfast was nice. The location is handy for the train station, though we arrived late and the street was quite dark. The area still felt safe. We lost a star because my child and I were put in twin room No23, which had lots of paintings and decor showing naked women. Some nude paintings were tasteful, but others were quite provocative. That might have been amusing, but my child felt embarrassed. The bathroom rugs and tiles were really explicit. Check-in was self-service, so there was no staff at the desk when we arrived and we couldn’t change rooms.

The location is ideal for train travellers, right by the station and close to the city centre. We had a weekend stay and would happily recommend Focus Hotel. The rooms had unusual decor that gave each artist room to express themselves. Our room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. There was a TV, hairdryer, and towels. The staff were warm and helpful, greeting each guest personally, and we had a lovely chat. Breakfast was tasty, with enough to fill everyone up. Thanks, and see you next time! Greetings from Poland, Asia and Klaudia.

Each room follows a theme, and mine was music. The building appears to be two houses, perhaps from the 1950s, joined into one, though I could be wrong. The owners have put a lot of work into renovating it, including a high-end ventilation system. My room had all the comfort I expected for the price, and breakfast was excellent for what it cost. Focus Hotel sits on a quiet street near the centre of Kortrijk, with plenty of parking, free overnight, and public EV chargers within 10s of meters. Check-in uses a numerical code sent in advance. If you don’t have it, the manager can help by phone.

It was really cold, and the rooms felt average with too many “creative” touches. Breakfast wasn’t satisfying. I had to cook the eggs and bacon myself, and there were no vegetables.
