Breakfast was a lovely start to the day. Carmen offered to make bacon and eggs for me, though I went with the traditional Dutch/Flemish cheese and bread instead. There was plenty to eat, and I appreciated the offer. I also enjoyed talking with her about European languages and her enthusiasm for preserving Flemish. I stayed one night at Duivels Paterke in Kortrijk, and Carmen made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. She’s a delightful, larger-than-life host. My room was modern, tidy and clean, with a comfortable bed and a stylish en suite bathroom. The decor made it cozy and relaxing after a long day of travel. Kortrijk has a lot to explore, from its two prominent towers to shops, restaurants and museums. I’d consider coming back, and I’d happily stay at Duivels Paterke again. The warm hospitality, comfortable room and breakfast made this one of my best hotel stays in a long time.

We had a spacious room that was beautifully decorated, with a huge, stylish bathroom. Each room has its own beer theme, which made ours feel cozy. Breakfast was amazing too. Carmen was a perfect host, and we had a wonderful stay at her lovely hotel. Thank you, Carmen.

Carmen, the owner, is lovely. This small hotel is beautiful, with cozy, clean rooms and nice decor. The service was great and breakfast excellent. I highly recommend it.

I spent five months here for work, and the stay was nice, especially the breakfast. If you're lucky, the host opens the restaurant, so you can have dinner there too. The restaurant's beer theme is great. One downside: the internet in the Rochefort room wasn’t very stable.

Carmen is a wonderful hotelier, and I’ll return as soon as I can. It’s a superb boutique hotel, with gorgeous rooms and bathrooms and an absolutely amazing breakfast. Shops and bars are an easy walk away.
