Orange Hotel

For this price, it's one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Everything was clean, warm, welcoming, and comfortable, with friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was great, and there's a very good restaurant attached.

The parking had cameras at every corner, which made us feel secure. The whole stay at Orange Hotel was a pleasure: welcoming staff, a warm atmosphere, and everything well organized. Tamara deserves a special thanks for her friendly manner and positive energy. We'll definitely be back!

We only stayed overnight on the way from Paris to Rotterdam, but managed a walk down to the impressive canal by a bridge. The evening meal was fabulous and very good value, much better than we'd expected for room service. Breakfast was beautiful too. The room was lovely, spacious, and had all the amenities. The smart TV gives access to Netflix, Disney, and other services if you have your own subscription. There was a shower problem caused by a previous guest. The hotel wouldn't have known about it, and staff were helpful and moved us to another room, though that was at 10:30 pm, which was annoying. It wasn't the hotel's fault, but the timing wasn't ideal.

The breakfast was top notch. The scrambled eggs were real, not powder, and the young woman there cracked them fresh in the morning. They were so creamy and buttery. Mmm, egg. This is a budget hotel with the kind of service you'd expect from a luxury one. Mohamed at the front desk is the nicest guy and so helpful, and the rest of the team were just as willing to do anything for you. The rooms are large, and the hotel is being refurbished, though it already looks fine. My only complaint is the carpet builds up what feels like 10,000 volts of static, then you get zapped touching the stainless steel stair rails. I now know how a cow feels behind an electric fence! If you're traveling to Mons, this is the place to stay. I love it.
