Chalet234 in La Boverie

The peaceful, beautiful setting and respectful neighbors made for a lovely stay. There are two excellent restaurants nearby, safe playgrounds, outdoor fitness equipment in several spots around the holiday village, plus mini-golf and ping-pong. Marked hiking trails run through the surrounding area. The chalet was cozy, welcoming, and impeccably maintained, with tasteful decor. We felt at home as soon as we arrived and will definitely return.

The grounds were beautiful, peaceful, and very well kept, with a lovely view from outside. The interior was attractive too, but we weren't in chalet 234, and since the chalets have different owners, I can't speak for the others. Reception had no answer when we asked about the extra costs. We paid 40 euros for maintenance, yet found a sock in one room and dust, despite there being supplies for basic cleaning. It was also cold, so we turned on the heating and paid another 50 euros for electricity for two nights. I thought that was excessive. The takeaway food was good and arrived on time.

The only real drawbacks were the weak Wi-Fi and almost nonexistent mobile reception. For Dutch guests, an induction hob would also be preferable to the standard electric one. Otherwise, the chalet was very clean and well maintained, with games and DVDs, and the beds were comfortable. It's a wonderful area for hiking, and the location works well if you have a car.

There are several parking areas around the property, and hiking routes start right from the holiday village, including a roughly 5 km trail to La Roche. In Jupille, there's a bus stop for trips to La Roche and elsewhere. The village has small chalets with fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms, a double bedroom, a bunk-bed room, and a living area with a TV and sofa bed. Dogs are welcome, and there are children's playgrounds on site. Two brasseries and a range of nearby activities round out the options.
