ibis Leuven Centrum

At least the breakfast was decent, and there was an elevator and guest parking for a fee. The room itself was small, the bed rock-hard, and the heater noisy. The shower was mechanically broken and didn't work properly. I also found someone else's very long hair in it, which definitely wasn't mine. Not pleasant.

For my business trip, the location and service were just what I needed. Kaat at reception was wonderful, professional, and really helpful. Breakfast was nice, and my room was clean with the necessary amenities. The rooms are on the small side, but I was satisfied with the stay.

The location is the best part, right in central Leuven and ideal for exploring on foot. I could leave my car in the convenient parking until 16:00, and it cost €17 a night. The small lobby was nicely decorated and gave a warm first impression. Check-in was smooth and the staff member there was friendly, but checkout felt rushed and impersonal. When I started asking a question, the desk staff member interrupted to tell me to put my key in the box. My room was very small and the bathroom even smaller. The bed was only medium comfortable, but the room had what I needed for a short stay. There were no amenities, not even tea or coffee, so bring your own. The space under the bed hadn't been cleaned, and the fan blew dust from underneath it, which felt careless. Housekeeping knocked at 9:00, well before the 12:00 checkout, even though I clearly hadn't left. It made me think reception and housekeeping weren't communicating much. The hotel covers the basics, but those service and cleanliness details could be better.

There were what looked like a few sweets left by a previous guest in my room, and water ran audibly all night. The Wi-Fi didn't work at any point during my stay. Going to Martins Klooster to use theirs wasn't convenient, and staff there turned me away at least once.
