Hôtel Le Fournil

We only booked dinner at the restaurant, not a hotel stay. On a snowy Wednesday evening after work, it felt especially cosy inside, with brick walls, a real wood-burning fireplace, good lighting, and nice music. The service was friendly and the menu was great. The beer selection is amazing, and so is the wine. The food was just what you'd hope for from a Belgian menu, and dinner was so good and fun. We spent 60 euro each including tip, for dinner, a starter and two local Belgian beers. The snow falling outside made it even cosier as we sat in the warm room looking at the church across the street. Come hungry, the portions are huge, and leave some room for dessert!

Right in the centre of Redu, the location is cosy and convenient. The dishes are tasty, the service friendly, and there’s a broad choice of local beers. Food options included a nice trout, a decent steak, and venison. The parking lot has EV charging for Tesla and other cars.

After visiting the space museum, we needed somewhere to eat and picked this place by chance. The village was beautiful, especially the centre around the church and restaurant. There's also a hotel upstairs; after seeing it, I was tempted to stay the night. The menu was quite extensive, but it wasn't available in English, so we had to guess and translate things on our phones. The waiter and waitress didn't speak very good English either, though everything worked out okay. The food was tasty, arrived quickly, and looked great. Inside, the restroom area was amazing, with fireplaces, wooden floors, lovely furniture, and a homey feel throughout. If I wanted to impress someone, I’d learn French and bring them here to eat. There was plenty of parking outside, and the village was quiet enough for the kids to walk around. We’ll definitely try to come again!

Our crepes arrived cold. My crepe flambée was drowned. A crime against humanity. Still, we had a good time, and the crew were friendly.
