Hôtel Hors Château

The bed was big and very comfortable, and the room was clean with nice decor. The receptionist was really helpful, and breakfast is good if you order it through them. You can leave the keys in a box for an early checkout. The room has all the equipment you need, except there’s no refrigerator. It’s close to a shopping center, too. A few things to keep in mind: there’s no hotel parking, so you have to walk about five minutes to a central parking lot. The stairs are steep and there’s no elevator. The room is on the small side, and you can hear people walking and talking in the hallways. The bathroom wall is translucent, which could be a plus as a couple, but less comfortable if you’re staying with a friend.

The front desk staff were attentive and superb, and the service was excellent overall. There’s a convenient car park nearby. A charming hotel.

The location is incredibly good, but the room was disappointing. It was very dusty, and the shower had no door. We had no way to hang our body towels, which were the only towels provided. There was also a runner, two spare pillows, and a huge cylindrical pillow on the bed. In such a tiny room, they felt awkward and took up space.

The rooms are modern and tastefully furnished, set inside a historic building. The staff were very friendly, and Ben was especially helpful and great to deal with. It’s close to the center and the main attractions. I loved Liege, and loved this hotel too. Highly recommended.
