The rest of the city is a bit of a dump, though the accommodation itself is beautiful. It’s been converted and refurbished while keeping its original features, with two double bedrooms and a double sofa bed in the living room. They’ve made good use of the small living area. Just be careful on the narrow spiral stairs. Several bars and restaurants are close by, so there’s some noise from people sitting, eating, drinking and laughing.

It’s a little cramped but comfortable, and there’s a bus stop close by. The apartment is in the old part of the city, near the sights. The furnishings have an IKEA feel, though the exposed beams and spiral stairs give the place more character. There are bars nearby, so it may be noisy if you’re staying in instead of being at one of them 😁

The accommodation has a distinctive character and is worth discovering, but the upkeep was disappointing. Cleaning on arrival was practically nonexistent: the dishwasher was filthy and full of dirty dishes, and it didn’t wash properly. We ended up washing dishes by hand for three days, for six people. Mice running through the place and hiding under the stairs were the biggest shock. The children had trouble sleeping because of them. It’s a shame the place isn’t better maintained.

The view from the very top is a five. It’s the best room I’ve ever had, though getting up there with bags is a bit of a struggle since there are three levels.
