The rooms are a real bonus here: the suite is beautiful, comfortable, and lovely to spend time in, and staying nearby saves you having to arrange a ride after a meal when you're practically too full to move. The restaurant itself is tucked away in a village, far from the big city and tourist menus, with a warm, kind host. Everyone on the team was so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious, with every plate looking like a little work of art. We loved the vegetarian menu and will be back as soon as we can. Both the restaurant and the accommodation are done with obvious care, and make a wonderful combination.

My partner didn't fancy one of the menu items, and the chef swapped it for an amazing dish. We had a fantastic time and will be back.

The restaurant feels cozy, and the service is thoughtful. Its menu is playful, fresh, and unusual, with lovely attention to detail. I also liked that the chef uses plenty of organic ingredients that are in season, which is better for the planet.

The vegetable dishes really stood out. The chef and his wife have run the place for 23 years and have nearly perfected what they do. The setting is lovely, and the service feels especially welcoming. It's at least star level in every respect.

The rustic building and decor added a lot to the evening, and the staff kept us well looked after without hovering too much. I was lucky to be invited and got to try ostrich, a nice gin and tonic with fresh herbs from the garden, and local Flemish wine. The ontdekkingsmenu is full of unusual, exotic, and delicious flavours. Everything was superb, from the food to the service and atmosphere. Dessert was the one part I didn't enjoy that much, but the rest was so good I couldn't take off a star. I'd love to return.
