The noise is unbearable. On weekends, people use the car park with their car sound systems blasting, shouting over the music, drinking and smoking. Forget getting a night's sleep. The car park is gravel and behind the building. It's clean-ish, but amenities are zero, and room service is only weekly. Daily service or a requested room clean costs extra. Breakfast has to be ordered in advance and doesn't start until 7.30am. I first gave it 2 stars, but the noise brought that down to 1. Menen is bland and not very interesting. I can't see how this can be called a 3-star place, or even described as a hotel.

It was clean and comfortable, and the price was very sensible. The car park round the back was decent, and the train station isn't far. Ypres is only 15mins away by train. Nothing to get excited about, but it seemed okay when we stopped. Not amazing, just cheap enough for one nite, maybe two.
