B&B Aux Gaietés de la Sabotière

We felt right at home with our lovely hostess and her family, and even our dog Nala was welcomed warmly. The meal was as good as one at a very good restaurant, and they also served us a full breakfast. Thanks again for such a lovely experience.

The room was very well appointed, and the bucolic surroundings made for a calm, restorative stay. We can't understand CJ's opinion. It feels like he must have been somewhere else. I'm curious what his own home is like??? Dinner was incredible, 11/10. The cooking was very good, with fresh local ingredients and great flavors. We still have the night and breakfast ahead of us. If tomorrow is as good as this evening, it'll be pure bliss!!!!!

Breakfast turned into brunch, with homemade jams, spreads from small local producers, cheese from Chimay and nearby farms, charcuterie from artisan butchers, and four kinds of bread. We also had a wonderful, peaceful night in a romantic atmosphere. Véronique welcomed us warmly, and the table d'hôtes (set menu) was a real surprise. The whole meal, from aperitif to coffee, was made with local, homemade produce and felt worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant. The price was very reasonable, including drinks. You have to wonder when Véronique sleeps, with all the care she puts into spoiling her guests! A must-visit if you're ever in Chimay. Thank you, Véro, and your whole family!

The area is quiet, and Chimay is just 10 minutes away, with a pleasant square and lovely terraces. We stayed for four days. The hostess was very friendly and gave us lots of information about outings. The rooms and bathroom were clean and beautiful.
