The location is perfect, and a young woman who was cleaning helped me a little with check-in and showed me where I could leave my bike. At first everything looked great, but then I noticed a strange smell and mold on the walls. I woke up at 3 am with my throat feeling tight and sore, and couldn’t get back to sleep. The owner is neglecting guests’ health by letting people sleep in a room full of mold. I’ll probably ask for some of my money back after my holiday.

We’ve never had hosts respond with such kindness and care. Another guest was causing a disturbance in a different room, through no fault of the hotel or its staff, and they quickly stepped in and found a solution. Namur is a fantastic location too.

I’ve stayed in places across several countries, and this is the worst one I’ve ever booked. It wasn’t worth even 5€. One drawer had dirty water in it; the bedside drawers were packed with old information, rubbish, and someone’s forgotten glasses. The fridge wasn’t plugged in and smelled so bad I wouldn’t put my things in it. There was an extra blanket in the wardrobe, left unfolded without even a little effort to tidy it.

It was a really enjoyable stay in a great location, and the kitchen had lovely amenities. The bathroom was very clean too. I only found out after arriving that the place is run by deaf people making a living, and they’ve done a wonderful job turning an old house into a B&B. My one complaint is that the Wi-Fi could’ve been better.
