We had some lovely talks with the really nice owners, and everything was super clean. The three of us had a few perfect days on the boat, which was very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was the best you can get around. On Sundays, the area in front of the boat becomes a traditional activity area, as you can see in the video. Look out the room window and you’ll see swans paddling by. We’d love to stay again!
The hosts greeted us on the deck with a drink, and breakfast the next morning came with a lovely view across the river. It was great value and made our time in Namur memorable. I’d wholeheartedly recommend staying here.
It was a special one-night stay in a lovely setting. The room was cozy and clean, the bed very comfortable, and the shower had strong pressure and hot water. The little bottle of port was a nice touch, and the location was great. A few things kept it from five stars. The room was advertised with Wi-Fi, but it was down, and there was no notice about the problem. I also couldn’t figure out the coffee machine, so instructions would have helped. We were told at check-in that breakfast was included, but were charged for it the next morning.
The owner was lovely, and this was the best stay in Namur I can say. The room on MS Elisabeth was comfortable enough given the limited space on a river boat. But it was quite damp despite the heating, and the sheets and towels felt damp too. The owner might want to consider dehumidifiers.
The terrace was a lovely spot to take in the Meuse views. The boat itself is charming, and sleeping aboard was a nice experience. The rooms are compact but clean, practical, and well equipped.
