The breakfast was delicious, and the rooms felt roomy, with beds that were extremely comfortable. I loved how the decor mixes old and new. The grounds are beautiful, too. The sauna had a big window and an easy switch, and there were two pools to choose from.

We ended up bringing the kids on what was meant to be a one-day romantic getaway because our babysitter was sick. I called to change our booking from one bedroom to two, and the change was confirmed with the extra payment. When we arrived, the booking hadn't been updated correctly, but they still confirmed our stay and moved us to an even larger, more luxurious room. Breakfast had plenty of choice, though it was only served from 8 to 9:30. We didn't use the shared pool or spa since our room had its own.

Manon looked after us in the restaurant, and she was amazing. She noticed every little detail and really wanted us to have the best experience. Her Dutch was very good, and she made a real effort to help us understand everything. We had a perfect experience both at the hotel and in the restaurant. Five stars.

Everything was really well maintained, and the food, service, lodging, and breakfast were all great. The weather was a shame because the peaceful relaxation area is amazing. La Petite Auberge is absolutely worth a Michelin star or two. We'll be back!

We checked out instead of staying a second night because our suite wasn't clean and the breakfast we'd ordered and paid for, for four people, never arrived. It took a long time and lots of calls and messages to get anyone at the hotel to hear about it. Even so, they charged us for that second night and all four breakfasts. We've called and emailed several times, but they haven't refunded us or replied. I wouldn't go back.
