We’ve stayed here a couple of times and haven’t been disappointed. These are large, beautifully designed modern flats with cleaning service, so it feels like a hotel but better. It’s in a good area, with an easy walk to the beach and restaurants. The upper floors are better than the ground floor, Mezzanine -Dikke Mathilde. One downside is the noise from toilets flushing upstairs, especially with the bed right beside those pipes.

The owner was pleasant and helpful, and the other rooms have a terrace and a better view. We stayed in appartement Dikke Mathilde on the ground level, so there was no terrace. It was a very nice appartement with everything we needed for a relaxing stay, though flushing toilets on the upper floors made a lot of noise.

The owner was great to deal with and made me feel welcome. I spent two nights in the Dikke Mathilde apartment, which is right at the edge of the city center and about a ten-minute walk from the beach. It’s spacious, clean enough for my Belgian friends, and furnished in a luxurious way that feels peaceful and comfortable. There’s everything you need, even for a longer stay. Definitely worth a visit!
