Auberge la Hutte Lurette

The hotel is clean and attractive, with charming rooms and awesome bathrooms. Breakfast is simple but tasty. I heard the restaurant is good too, though we didn’t try it ourselves. It’s also reachable by train. Bouillon is close by, which is great for culture or outdoor activities like hiking and cycling.

The room was impeccable, the food was great, and the restaurant service was prompt, frequent, and gentle. The cooking wasn’t quite at star level, but it was definitely high-end. I rarely leave reviews, but this was the best service I’ve had in years. Thanks for a great three-day stay, the whole team made it unforgettable.

We were a family of 10, stopping in for drinks and an aperitif after a hike nearby. We ordered six gin and tonics and some water, so it made for a decent bill. At first, the hostess welcomed us warmly, but soon after we ordered, she began hurrying us out because the lunch service was about to start. The restaurant was literally empty at the time. Then she moved the two umbrellas away from us and over to empty tables, saying it was in preparation for the shift. It was 34 degrees in full sun, so we had little choice but to leave our drinks and go elsewhere. A very unpleasant and unwelcoming experience, completely out of line.

The food was really good, and the staff made us feel welcome. They didn't speak much English, but were still very accommodating. We had a great evening.
