We had a really bad experience. One evening, our family used the outdoor wooden tub, and it seems there was far too much chlorine in it. It completely ruined our bathing suits, and afterwards our children had itchy skin. We called emergency services to ask what to do about the level of chemical exposure for our 3- and 4-year-olds. When we raised it with Ranch Don Diego, they weren’t willing to compensate us or even communicate in a customer-friendly way. Don’t go there.

There are animals and a bouncy Castle, so kids have plenty to enjoy, and the place itself is lovely and interesting. But the owners seemed to be having a party until around 2am. We’d paid for B&B and then there was no breakfast, with no staff around to ask about it.

I’ve had to change my rating from 4 stars to 1. Since my previous visit, Ranch Don Diego has changed owners, and after a recent fire the restaurant was left in ashes. We had a reservation, but nobody told us that à la carte dining was no longer available. Instead, we were offered a BBQ buffet at 26€/pp, with drinks extra. After haggling, we got just a main course for lunch at 18€/pp: undercooked chicken, ribs and sausages. Nearly all the chicken was sent back, the ribs were only okay, and the one sausage I tried was undercooked too. Someone in our group got sick the next day. We’ll avoid the place unless it changes owners again.

A very nice resort, especially if you’re traveling with kids. The rooms are small and cozy, and the bathroom and toilet were very neat and clean.
