The old building has been renovated with real charm and taste, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We had the pleasure of meeting Nicolas, the head chef, who uses fresh, top-quality ingredients. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a great time. The hotel is right by Paliseul train station, which is incredibly convenient, and our group didn’t hear any train noise. The staff are welcoming, keep the place up to a high standard, and have a well-timed sense of humor. The building is superb and beautifully decorated. The restaurant serves sophisticated, gourmet food, though I personally prefer dishes that are a little simpler. They took allergies, intolerances, and preferences seriously. For instance, I was offered a delicious homemade pear sorbet instead of a chocolate tartlet. The prices are reasonable, even if the menus feel somewhat rigid.

I only ate at the adjoining restaurant, "Le Gastronome," and didn’t stay overnight. The fish and meat were cooked perfectly, and the sommelier made very thoughtful wine choices. It was a very good meal, the sort that deserves at least one star. The location pin does have its limits, though.

We slept very well, but breakfast was a complete letdown: no pastries and not even fresh bread. The owner kept watch over us and was about as welcoming as a prison guard. The service needs a serious overhaul.

We’ve returned to this place several times, drawn by the warm hospitality and the food. Everything is fresh, high quality, and fully homemade. Marie de France
