Parking was difficult, and there’s no lift, so our room on the second floor meant taking the stairs. The room itself was clean and comfortable, but the lack of air conditioning was a real problem during the heat wave. There were no evening meals. When we went to the bar for a drink, they seemed to have only about 10 beers, not 100, and appeared more concerned that we’d interrupted their Wimbledon viewing. We went across the road to Brood Huis for breakfast, where they were friendly and helpful. I wouldn’t trust the website.

Breakfast had loads to choose from, including fresh bread, ham, cheese, fruit, and eggs cooked how we asked. It was very reasonably priced, and we were so glad to find such a lovely place. The hotel is beautifully set in the historic town of Poperinge. Its modern decor keeps the original features of the old building, and the owners were welcoming and accommodating. We’d gladly come back to explore more of this part of Belgium. Wishing the owners many happy guests!

Clean, with a nice breakfast. I enjoyed staying here so much that I'm coming back this year. A great place to stop.

The room names and decor take inspiration from well-known Belgian beers, which is a clever touch. It’s great value and in a perfect location, with a friendly atmosphere and old-world charm. A very nice experience.

I've stayed here a few times. It's a great little hotel, clean and capable, with comfortable beds. The front bar is gorgeous, which makes it frustrating that it never seems to be open.
