A great B&B with gorgeous rooms and very welcoming owners. The breakfast is sumptuous, and there are dinner options too. The surrounding area is interesting for hiking, history, and nature.

From what I can see, it looks like the perfect B&B!

Hilde and Roel welcomed us on a sunny day in mid-August. They're both wonderful at looking after and pampering their guests. Villa Bayard, with its lovely gardens and vineyard, is a special place in the beautiful Eben-Emael region. After visiting, you'll want to come back, ideally with all your loved ones. We spent two nights in one of the five tastefully decorated rooms. On our first evening, Hilde made a delicious dinner for our group of 12. We shared a long table, starting with home-grown giant tomatoes, buratta, and balsamic dressing. The main was an exquisite stew with risotto topped with verbena from their own herb garden. The limoncello tiramisu was to die for! Roel proudly poured his homemade wines. Though we'd only known our table companions for about an hour, the atmosphere soon felt relaxed and homely. Breakfast was truly sublime, with all kinds of treats and plenty of extras. Hilde and Roel were happy to accommodate whatever you fancied, whether a regular soft-boiled egg or a double-sided fried egg in herb butter without a runny yolk. When we said goodbye, Hilde was already busy in the kitchen preparing for a group of 50 guests expected for lunch that weekend. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!

We had a fantastic weekend, and Maastricht is close by and easy to reach by bike. Hilde and Roel's guesthouse is lovingly furnished and very family-run, so you feel welcome right away. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner with wine from their own vineyard.
