Mah Hotel

Getting to the hotel from Saint Ghislain train station was a problem. I couldn't find a taxi or UBER, so I called the MAH Hotel reception and explained what had happened. Mrs. Olivia spontaneously came to pick me up in her own car and took me to the hotel. The staff are very friendly and qualified, and the rooms are clean and cozy. It's a pleasure to stay at MAH Hotel. Thank you!

The person at reception was incredibly rude, and refused to serve me any food, not even cheese, although the restaurant was still in full swing and I had arrived hungry. They told me it was my responsibility not to rely on information on hotels.com. I stay in hotels more than 100 nights a year, and this was my worst experience in years. The rudeness was world class.

The hotel sits in an industrial zone, so the large parking lot is convenient, but there’s really nothing around it, like cafes or restaurants. There is a supermarket and petrol station some distance away. I liked the idea of a place where you can work, eat and meet. The rooms are fairly simple, but have what you need: good mattresses, a quiet, relaxing view from the windows, a proper chair and workspace, Wi-Fi, a kettle for tea or coffee, and a bottle of water. The restaurant felt pricey compared with the rest of the hotel, though the food and drink selection were adequate. Breakfast was excellent, with good quality food and some choices changing each day. My only gripe was that they didn't have regular black tea.

We stayed there for a few nights while scouting locations for our reality show “A Better Life(2025)” and other documentaries from Colored dots pictures. The hotel has great style and design, and it’s actually cheap for what you get. The rooms look like they should cost at least 200 a night, but they’re much less. La Belle Belgique!
