The food was a real highlight, especially the two five-course dinners we had. Everything from the appetizers through the coffee with "mignardises" was delicious and nicely presented. The wines were good, there was a nice range of drinks, and although breakfast didn't offer much choice, it was all fresh and good quality. The owners and staff were kind and helpful, the rooms clean and spacious, and we had a wonderful stay.

Zur Post is a gem in the center of Sankt Vith. Its grand French cuisine impressed me, and the chef would impress even someone experienced. The wine list was far better than I would have expected in this somewhat remote part of Belgium. Service has an old-fashioned decency, with a personal yet professional touch. The cozy setting brings back the feel of hospitality from earlier days, with a bit of renewal, and the food meets modern haute cuisine standards. I left charmed and surprised.

The service was great, and the food was tasty, made with excellent ingredients and plenty of imagination. Five stars for this restaurant. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting St Vith.

The food was great, but the waiters less so. They offered us an aperitif when we arrived, a glass of champagne, without mentioning it cost €14. A bottle of water was €9 too. Really overpriced.

The food certainly wasn't star quality, and the wine cost felt like a rip-off. The price was definitely the main issue!
