We bought four small portions of fries to take away, without sauce, and they were awful. Pale, limp and grimy, they tasted inedible, so we ended up throwing them away. The oil didn’t seem fresh and the temperature looked too low. At 20 euros for the four portions, the price was outrageous. I’ve run a cafeteria for 12 years, so I know fries, and these were absolutely terrible. We were already heading home and couldn’t go back to say anything.\n\nAdded 20-08: Thanks for the comment. If you need help or advice, I’d be glad to help. For better fries, check the temperature, 173C and about 4.5 minutes of frying, and make sure the oil is fresh and the right type. Normally, it should be changed every 3 to 4 days.

A comfortable place to stay, with good beds and nice hot showers. There’s a good restaurant too. It also works well as a base for bike rides around the area, and you can rent electric bikes from the hotel.

We felt right at home here. The hotel was spotless, comfortable and cozy, and the food was outstanding. Annette and Gerd were delightful. It’s a lovely little village in the heart of the Ardenne, just the kind of place for a getaway. We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend it.

The owners were incredibly helpful, and both the rooms and restaurant were superb. I’d recommend it to anyone, especially mountain bikers doing the Stoneman Arduenna like we were.
