The family has made this feel like a real home, and their kindness made me want to stay longer. I loved walking around the backyard, feeding the donkeys, and taking in the scenery. Breakfast was lovely, especially the homemade apple juice. B&B El Tyu may be a mouthful to say, but it was a memorable place to stay in Belgium. It’s more like visiting your grandpa than staying in luxury accommodation, and some people may find it basic. A few power sockets could use an upgrade, though the ones I needed were compatible.

The room was really pleasant, though it was a little too warm, as it seemed to be everywhere. The beds weren't the best either. We understood that our Wonderbox voucher may have meant we got the least requested room, but the bed had awkward wooden panels and the mattress sagged. Getting up without bumping into the frame was tricky. Even so, we had a great time and would remember the stay fondly. We arrived early for check-in and sat in the garden shade because of the heat, where we quickly befriended the B&B cat. Breakfast was nice, and the surroundings were beautiful, with donkeys visible from our bedroom. Everything was within a reasonable distance. Before we even arrived, we'd had trouble with our Wonderbox and its unhelpful replies for weeks. The B&B looked lovely, so I contacted them directly, and the woman there helped us wonderfully. Her communication was quick, clear, and incredibly friendly.
