The fireplace and roomy, charming courtyard were two of our favourite parts of Villa Theresa. We spent Christmas there as a family of eight, and there was plenty of space; the rooms were clean and well kept. Being right in the centre of Soignies made it easy to explore, with supermarkets a short drive away and places like Mons and Waterloo nearby to discover. It was quite cold when we arrived, and the rooms took a while to warm up. The kitchen could also do with more utensils and equipment for a larger group, though we managed. Veronique was always available and very helpful whenever we had a question or ran into an issue. We had a lovely stay and would recommend it to families or groups wanting space in a central spot.

We had the whole of Villa Thérèsa to ourselves, which was a real bonus. It’s an old place with plenty of character and a quirky feel that made it memorable. We were five friends travelling by motorbike, and the owner was quick and clear on WhatsApp from the start, and very accommodating. They let us keep all our bikes securely in the garage, which put our minds at ease. We had a great time and would happily recommend it, especially to groups after somewhere a bit different with a personal touch.

Breakfast in the pleasant room overlooking the manicured garden was a lovely touch. I had a quiet, relaxing stay at Villa Thérèsa, within walking distance of the city centre and train station. The staff welcomed me warmly and were helpful. Thank you for making me feel at home!

Soignies is a peaceful town, and the residents we met were friendly and welcoming. Mons, Pairi Daiza and other local attractions are under half an hour away by car, while Brussels is half an hour by train. The property is beautiful and unusual, with period details, modern facilities and a private garden. It’s family friendly and close to cafes, restaurants and shops. We had the place to ourselves for most of our stay and booked two rooms with a private bathroom, which gave our family plenty of space. On a stormy evening we cuddled up in the TV room; other nights we read and played board games. A lovely spot for a few days in Belgium.

A wonderful old house, and a lovely Chambre d'hôtes just around the corner from a beautiful ancient cemetery. It’s a great little getaway for a night or two, with charming Mons close by. Recommended!
