The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we had a question, and the breakfast was decent with the usual choices. The hotel is right by the beach, with the city close at hand, and the rooms were clean. The room itself felt very dated and uncomfortable, with hardly any equipment or amenities. On the ground floor, the large sliding window made me uneasy because it felt like an easy way in for burglars. The doors had very old-fashioned keys that seemed like they could be opened with a basic lock pick, and there was no safe. The bathroom floor was sagging and felt as though it might give way; you could see through the ceiling even with the lights off. The walls looked rotten, and there was a constant odd smell. I wouldn't recommend staying here. It felt unsettling much of the time, though it did the job for one night.

The rooms are dated and need redecorating, and the cleanliness was poor. I’ve never seen anything like it elsewhere: three huge spiders on the ceiling on our first night! The cupboard hinges were hanging loose, and the curtains blocked the view from the balcony. I feel sorry for whoever gets rooms 26 and 27 next.

The owner was friendly, and the breakfast we had with a Groupon voucher was okay. The restaurant area, though, badly needs renovating.

We stopped at the hotel restaurant for ice cream and crepes, but the prices were much too high for us. Children were running around and making the floor shake, although thankfully the place wasn't very busy. The service was quite decent.

We had confirmation from the hotel for the night of June 4 to 5, and arrived with proof of it, but they had no booking under our name. They said someone had cancelled it, though who knows what happened. They didn't even try to help us. I'd advise against staying here and suggest going to the tourism board instead.
