Georges was pleasant to deal with and quick to answer questions before and during our stay. That impression is clouded by an attempt to charge us for bedsheets we hadn’t ordered, and we’re still waiting for that to be resolved. The location is a wonderfully quiet retreat in nature, with a scenic view. Inside, everything was well kept, and the lawn was nice. The boules court could use a rake, though, since there were some larger stones. Wind and passing cars on the gravel road often blew dust onto the patio and tables. The doormats only catch so much, so be careful not to carry dirt indoors if you want to avoid extra cleaning charges. Wi-Fi could use a professional setup. The connection was patchy in most outdoor areas and in the downstairs bathroom and sauna. The “Hot Tub” is more accurately a “Nordic Bath”, without water jets or recirculating filtration, which is easy to miss with Airbnb’s translation. A pool net would help keep the water clean longer, or a filtration system with a surface skimmer would be better. The football table and pool are in a separate shed with a very low ceiling, and are apparently shared with people staying in nearby residences. Some bedrooms get hot at night with so many people sleeping in the house. Opening a window helped a bit. The mattresses are average, medium firmness, and if you need thicker pillows, bring your own. None of the dining table setups comfortably fit the house’s full capacity, so expect to pull in extra chairs and feel cramped with more than 10 people. If your visit includes weekdays, you’ll be asked to keep outdoor noise and activities down. On Friday nights and weekends, though, those restrictions are unenforced.
