For our family weekend from October 21-23, 2022, we were charged an extra €120 as soon as we booked, even though it wasn’t in the booking confirmation. When we arrived, the owner said the payment hadn’t come through. We showed proof, then had to pay a €500 cash deposit, as specified in the Belvilla contract. Neither the owner nor Belvilla has returned that deposit.

The gîte was nice, clean, and hygienic, and the owners were very friendly.
