Sylvie was a huge help while I was settling into Belgium at the beginning of the year. I stayed at Sleutelhuys for almost two months as a temporary base while looking for a permanent apartment, during a difficult period with covid. She’s extremely kind, thoughtful about the details, and always checks in to offer help or advice whenever you need it. My room was quite large, the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in, and the kitchen had everything I needed. The living room was lovely too. During the mandatory quarantine I had to work there, and they quickly brought an extra table and chair so I could set up an office. I really felt at home during those two months. I’d definitely recommend staying there.

We got onto an earlier ferry, and Sylvie kindly said checking in early would be no problem. She gave us a warm welcome and showed us to Trendy 2 and Trendy 5, the penthouse. Both felt luxurious but still had a cozy, at-home feel, and Sylvie was so friendly and helpful throughout. The apartments had spacious living areas with sofas, TVs, Bluetooth speakers, and fast WiFi. There was everything we needed in the kitchens too, including full-size fridges, ovens, microwaves, plates and cutlery, plus small things like ice trays and washing-up liquid. The bedrooms had fantastic large, comfortable beds, and we had the best night's sleep. Towels, bathrobes, slippers, and luxury toiletries were included, just like in a five-star hotel. Trendy 2 had a huge terrace, while Trendy 5's terrace looked out over the beautiful town. The evening views were amazing. What a beautiful hotel. I’d highly recommend staying here. The owners were friendly and helpful, and the newly renovated apartments were wonderful. It’s just a short walk to the town centre, shops, and restaurants. Best stay ever, 100% recommended.
