CRH Domaine de Farnières

Very beautiful.

The buildings are beautiful and well maintained, and my room was lovely, with an equally stunning view. The staff were friendly and approachable. I came for a solo weekend to recharge. When I visited, there were two groups, with adults and children, so patience and understanding were needed. It’s worth asking before booking whether there’ll be any groups during your stay.

The activities really bring a group together, and the leaders were fantastic. Huge shout-out to Julien, the best leader we could have hoped for. The place itself is magnificent and surrounded by nature. The rooms aren’t quite as nice as the rest, but they’re decent for a large resort. The food is pretty good, even if it isn’t the resort’s strongest point. Don’t hesitate to go, you won’t regret it! 😁

You can head straight out into nature on foot or by bike from the cottages. They’re basic, but have everything you need. The estate is beautiful and very quiet, set among woods and nature, with a community of Salesian brothers and sisters. You can stay in the main building or rent a cottage.
