We liked the location, especially for walks around beautiful Vielsalm, and the rooms were spacious and tidy. But the decor felt like IKEA and didn't suit the building at all. The food and stay were just OK, and the price felt far too high. I respect their decision not to run a bar, though there should at least be a minibar and a TV in the room. You also need to be back by a certain time because the front door locks. The owner's real smile seemed to show up only when it was time to pay. The hospitality felt forced, and we won't be coming back.

We slept and ate really well here. It's a former notary's home turned into a hotel and restaurant, right in central Vielsalm and close to the sights. There's a spacious, gated car park behind the building, and it's a great base for a weekend in the Ardennes with nice walks nearby. The people were very friendly.

Monique and Mart gave us such a warm welcome. Our room was spacious and tidy, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The location is excellent for exploring the region.
