A lovely spot, with a genuinely spacious room and a friendly feel. It was spotless inside and out, and made a great base for relaxing or exploring. We’ll definitely stay again. Five stars don’t feel like enough, I’d happily give it ten.

The surroundings are so peaceful, but there’s plenty to do nearby, including cycling on the route network, renting bikes locally, walking, and visiting very good restaurants. Ypres, Diksmuide, and Nieuwpoort are all close by. We were warmly welcomed, and the room had everything we needed to relax. The bathroom was fully equipped, the beds were very good, and the whole place was spotless. Breakfast was great too.

We catered a two-day wedding here from start to finish and would love to work at the venue again. The recently renovated property feels luxurious and distinctive, while still keeping the building’s authentic character and deep history for us. They’ve thought through the details for both guests and the catering team. Our contact with the owner, Mr. Pauwelyn, was especially appreciated. He was helpful and close at hand whenever needed, without getting in the way.

We had a wonderful family stay. The rooms are spacious, lovely, clean, and have everything you could need, while breakfast offers a wide choice. There’s no restaurant onsite, but the local recommendations more than made up for it. The building has been beautifully renovated, with authentic details alongside some surprising modern touches, including the large banquet rooms. The welcome and service were very friendly. It’s a breath of fresh air if you’re used to the busy coast and want to experience the Westhoek differently. You can really feel the flat countryside in this unique setting. Highly recommended.
