Holiday Home Mooi - Voeren

We’d planned a stay for when Belgium went into lockdown. To accommodate the landlord, we didn’t ask for a refund and instead agreed to move the booking to a later date. It took two years of trying to get in touch to arrange the new stay. Last September, Booking.com gave us a guarantee that the landlord would return the money within 30 days. After 50 days, we started emailing and calling again, but got no response. More recently, we sent a registered notice of default through legal aid. Its deadline has passed too, and still there’s been no reply. Yet when I asked about the accommodation from a different email address, they answered very quickly. Strange.

We found it easy to reach by car, and there was parking. Everything was clean, the surroundings were beautiful, and the stay was great value for money. The host was welcoming, and the children loved all the facilities, even our youngest, who’s three. I’d definitely come back. Highly recommended!

There were eight of us, two sisters, our two brothers, and their partners. The house was spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed. We had a wonderful time, and it was absolutely worth doing again. Alfonsine, thanks for everything.

Having a jacuzzi is nice, but it’s in a converted conservatory that isn’t insulated very well. It can get cold there in winter.
