B&B Carpe Diem

The apartment is spacious, and it was easy to find. The owner sent helpful messages and communicated well. We could park right outside and keep the key, and there were free cookies, water, tea, and coffee. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. The staircase is steep and very slippery, though, and footsteps on the wooden floor made the room noisy.

A really quiet spot, with a clean room and a wonderful mattress. The people were so friendly too. Just keep in mind this is definitely a room for two, even though there’s an option to add a third bed.

Carpe Diem is a lovely base for a walk, close to the Nete, and they let us take walking maps and routes with us. We followed the route to Tongerlo Abbey, then had lunch at the little tavern behind the Torenhof, across from the abbey. It put us in a good mood. The owner is a very friendly woman. We started our stay with a drink and some tips about walking and places to eat around Westerlo. The accommodation is spacious, tidy, and quiet, and it was a pleasant place to sleep. Breakfast was delicious and generous, which made waking up nice too. We came away feeling very relaxed.

There’s plenty of space, and Chantal was a very friendly host. The place itself is wonderfully beautiful, and we had a delicious, generous breakfast too.
